How to Manually Disable the Autorun in Windows XP OS

This tutorial is a guide on how to manually disable the autorun in your Windows XP Operating System. Autorun is the common default were viruses reside in your system. And it makes your system to run slowly and sometimes it will hang. This is one way on how to disable it.

1. go to "RUN"

2. type "GPEDIT.MSC"

3. go "COMPUTER CONFIGURATION"

4. browse "ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES"

5. double click "SYSTEM"

6. find "TURN OFF AUTOPLAY" then double click

7. enable -> all drives -> apply and ok

8. go "USER CONFIGURATION"

9. browse "ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES"

10. double click "SYSTEM"

11. find "TURN OFF AUTOPLAY" then double click

12. enable -> all drives -> apply and ok
